Finding a Reputable Bail Bonds Agency

There are many bail bonds agencies to choose from throughout California. How do you know which one is best for you? Talk to friends. Ask your attorney. Call your local Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau. Bail Bond Professionals in Orange County Bail Bonds will always be at the top of the list because of our excellent reputation. Our agents are well-known throughout the state for being professional, prompt and compassionate. From the beginning we’ve worked tirelessly to create a positive working relationship with all those we interact with including law enforcement agencies, court clerks, judges and every client we meet. Because of our dedication to professionalism and a high ethical standard, we have earned the respect and admiration of our peers.

We are proud of the reputation we've established, and we encourage you to check out our online reviews on Google and Yelp. Lots of people have many good things to say about Orange County’s best bail bond business. We encourage you to examine our bail licenses and qualifications on the California Department of Insurance website which shows a spotless record.  We always go the extra mile for each and every client and we pride ourselves on this. Even when cases are somewhat unconventional and certain stipulations must be met for the court, we can help you. If you are asked to check in with our office, we encourage you to talk to us about any problems or issues you may be having. We are happy to remind you of your court dates and what you need to be doing to remain in compliance with your terms of your bond agreement. We will work with you throughout the duration of your case.

No Hidden Fees

While many other bail bond agencies are publicly advertising a “bait-and-switch” discount scheme to attract you to their businesses, we believe in being honest and transparent to win your trust and respect. We have no hidden fees or extra fees of any kind. Most other companies charge the following fees but often time fail to disclose them:

  • ANNUAL PREMIUMS (charged if your case remains active for longer than one year.)
  • RESUMPITION OF LIABILITY (charged if you unintentionally miss your court date and need to re-appear in court with a Resumption of Liability letter stating that we are still willing to maintain your bail bond.)
  • REWRITE FEES (applies if your first bail is exonerated and you need to post bail a second time for the same charge.)
  • COURT APPEARANCE FEES (charged if your bail bonds agent appears in court with you.)

We believe you should not be penalized when the District Attorney files your case late. We believe an accidental failure to appear should not punished by additional fees and we routinely appear in court free of charge.

Fees listed in the bail bonds agreement forms are the ONLY costs you will be expected pay. The Fees we charge are mandated and regulated by the California Department of Insurances but we’ll always work with you within those guidelines. We will discuss each part of the process before moving forward. We even offer convenient no-interest payment plans for those that qualify. We will explain the difference between a forfeiture and a revocation so that you know exactly what is happening if either of those terms is ever mentioned.

Knowledge, Experience, and Compassion

In a moment like this you need an experienced, professional bail agent to help guide you through the bail bond process, not an answering service or salesman that lacks knowledge or professionalism. We have been serving Orange County, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego for over eighteen years and have become the most trusted and valued bail service to over 10,000 clients and their attorneys. When you call, you will feel welcome and comfortable. Your urgent questions will be answered honestly and directly giving you peace-of-mind that you’ve chosen the right bail service to help you.

Make no mistake, there are many differences between bail businesses and the services they offer so please take a moment to learn about us and make an informed decision before choosing to get your loved one released from jail.

What Happens After an Arrest?

After an arrest has been made the defendant will be taken to a local city jail or the county jail. Once at the jail, the defendant will go through the booking process. This includes several steps including:

  • Identity verification
  • Photograph or mug shot
  • Fingerprinting
  • Property inventory
  • Interrogation
  • Formal charges
  • Bail determination

At all jails the booking in process usually takes between 2 and 5 hours to complete. As soon as the booking process is completed, the bond is posted and the defendant then begins the release process. If held at any one of the city jail’s, like Anaheim Jail, Newport Beach Jail, Huntington Beach Jail, etc., defendants are released quickly after bond is posted. If held at the Orange County Jail, this usually takes between 3 and 8 hours or longer depending on the activity inside the jail or other factors.

All parties are explained their rights and responsibilities before signing the bail bond agreements. Our primary concern and responsibility is for the defendant to appear at every court hearing that is scheduled for their case. If for any reason the court believes the defendant has left the area or is planning on skipping their court hearings, they may choose to revoke their bond. An arrest warrant will be issued and they will be returned to the jail. If they are not returned to the jail, their bond will be forfeited and the co-signer will be financially responsible for the entire amount. If the co-signer no longer wishes to be held responsible, they can revoke the bond themselves and remove their financial obligation. The defendant will then be returned to custody to await their hearing.

What Charges Require A Bail Bond?

Most criminal charges require some form of bail or bail bond. Minor offenses are often covered with a cash bond. Cash bonds are normally less than $1000 and must be paid in full and in cash at the jail. Because the amount is so small, the services of a bail bonds agent aren't required. Charges are classified as either misdemeanors or felonies, with each being identified according to their severity by a specific class (Class A, B, C, or D). A few of the most common charges include:

  • Assault
  • Battery
  • Theft
  • Conversion
  • Domestic violence
  • Driving under the influence
  • Possession of stolen property
  • Possession of concealed weapons
  • Possession of drugs or paraphernalia
  • Manslaughter
  • Sexual offenses
  • Armed robbery
  • Terrorist activity

This is only a partial list and each one has various levels of severity that determine whether it's a misdemeanor or a felony. If you are curious about the charges and what type of bail bond amount each one carries, contact an attorney or call our office. Most crimes are listed on a pre-determined bail schedule which allows the jail to determine the amount of bail needed and allow the bail bonds agent to post the appropriate amount.

If the defendant has been charged with several crimes or the severity of the crime is extreme, they may have to appear in front of the judge at an arraignment hearing. The judge may choose to deny bail if they believe the defendant may flee the case or is a threat to themselves or others. While the ability to post bond is guaranteed according to the 8th amendment of the Constitution, the judge has the right to revoke that privilege if there are extenuating circumstances that warrant it in the best interest of the case and the community.

Jason is hands-down not your average bail bondsmen.

His dedication and commitment to finding a strong solution cannot be overstated. After getting off the phone with a very vulnerable and scared client, I am often dialing Jason to set up a strategy to get the best scenario possible. He is knowledgeable and caring -- two things a lawyer and there client need in a bail company...especially in a very critical time. You will be taken care of.

Bart Kaspero, Esq.

Bail Bond Professionals says it all.

Sometimes a name is just a clever marketing device. In the case of Jason Meyerson and Chris Kiperman it’s a simple fact! My Firm has been providing criminal defense services in Orange County for over 40 years and we turn to them for help in posting bonds for clients who have been charged with serious offenses including spousal abuse, sex offenses, drug charges and DUI cases. Our lawyers & clients appreciate the personal and professional services they provide. They have never let us down.

Barry T. Simons

He is a true professional that I’ve always been able to trust.

I recently had a serious white collar case in Orange County and bail was set extremely high. My client was out of the country and needed to return to the United States to get his day in court. It was Jason’s deep knowledge of bail and creative thinking that allowed my client to return to the U.S. with much lower bail and without going into custody. I’ve worked with other bail bond companies over the last 25 years but Jason operates at an entirely different level than any other bondsman I’ve known. He is a true professional that I’ve always been able to trust. He has my highest recommendation.
